The Counties of Iran, also called shahrestan (Persian: شهرستان‎ shahrestān).

Iranian Counties are divided into one or more Bakhsh (بخش), or Districts.
A County includes both cities (شهر shahr) and rural agglomerations (دهستان dehestān), which are groupings of adjacent villages.

This is a list of the Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran since the establishment of that office in 1980. The President of Iran is the highest popularly elected official in the country. The current President is Hassan Rouhani, since 3 August 2013.

This is a list of Prime Ministers of Iran from the creation of the office in 1906 during the Iranian Constitutional Revolution, until 1989 when the post was abolished after the constitutional referendum. Prime Minister was the Head of Government of Iran. Mirza Nasrullah Khan was the first and Mir-Hossein Mousavi was the last Prime Minister of Iran, after 1906 constitutional revolution.
