There are six official administrative districts in Israel, including Northern, Haifa, Central, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Southern. In addition, there is an extra area known as the Judea and Samaria Area or the West Bank, which is not officially recognized due to its disputed status. The final status of this area depends on negotiations between the Israeli government and the Palestinian Authority, and it is currently administered by the Israeli military. There are different opinions about this area, and it remains a contentious issue in the region.

This is a list of Israel Prime Ministers, in order of longevity. This list includes Prime ministers and acting Prime ministers. There are currently thirteen Prime Ministers on the list and four living Prime Ministers. The list is in descending order and is correct as of 12 February 2014. The longest living former Prime Minister was Yitzhak Shamir, who was 96 when he died in June 2012. To account for the different number of leap days within the life of each prime minister, two measures of longevity are given.

This is a list of Israeli Presidents, in order of longevity. There are currently nine Presidents on the list and three living Presidents. The list is in descending order and is correct as of 12 February 2014. The longest-lived president was Ephraim Katzir (1916–2009), who died 2 weeks after his 93rd birthday. To account for the different number of leap days within the life of each president, two measure of longevity are given. The first is the number of whole years the president lived, and the number of days past their last birthday.
