Provinces of Nigeria were divided into Divisions. Some of divisions were further subdivided into Native authorities.
Northern Nigeria and Southern Nigeria were also sometimes known as the Northern Provinces or Southern Provinces.
This data shows a list of Nigeria's 36 states ranked by their population according to the 2006 Census figures. It also includes the 2019 estimated populations published by the National Bureau of Statistics.
