The following page lists all nuclear power stations that are larger than 1,000 MW in current net capacity. Those power stations that are smaller than 1,000 MW, and those that are only at a planning or proposal stage, may be found in regional lists at the end of the page. The list is based on figures from PRIS (Power Reactor Information System) maintained by International Atomic Energy Agency.

This is a list of operational and decommissioned nuclear reactors of the Boiling Water Reactor type, commonly used for generating electrical power in nuclear power plants.

A highly hazardous chemical is a substance classified by the American Occupational Safety and Health Administration as material that is both toxic and reactive and whose potential for human injury is high if released. Highly hazardous chemicals may cause cancer, birth defects, induce genetic damage, cause miscarriage, injury and death from relatively small exposures.

The list below was compiled from data on the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species (IUCN).

The list below contains plants that dwell in or migrate to any region in Europe and any nearby islands of the Atlantic Ocean. This includes plants that are found in the East Atlantic Ocean (Azores), Iceland, the Adriatic Sea, the Sea of Azov, the Black and Caspian Sea, Corsica, Cyprus, Palearctic, Russia, Eurasia, North African Coast, the Mediterranean Sea and islands located in the Mediterranean Sea, and the islands of Spain (Canary, Balearic). 21% of Europe’s vascular plant species (flowering plants, conifers and ferns) are classified as threatened according to the IUCN.

The list of extinct animals in Europe features the animals that have become extinct on the European continent and some in other dependent territories of European countries. While most of the animals in the recent Holocene have a human-caused extinction, Pleistocene extinctions and early Holocene extinctions are contested. Many theories of the cause of their extinction have been presented; some human-caused while others as a product of climate change. Many of the extinct animals were subspecies or color morphs such as the Pied Raven or disputed species like the Tarpan or the Gravenche.

This list covers only extinctions from the Holocene epoch, a geological period that extends from the present day back to about 10,000 radiocarbon years, approximately 11,430 ± 130 calendar years BP (between 9560 and 9300 BC). For the extinct animals of Australia, Hawaiian Islands and New Zealand this is a list for the animals not found in these parts of Oceania.
